Mitchell County Convention & Tourism

Mandy Fincham, Executive Director 

Mandy was raised in rural Western Kansas with her parents and brother. She graduated her Bachelor’s of Art degree in Corporate Communications at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Since graduating, she has worked for various newspapers in advertising and journalism, spent five years at North Central Regional Planning Commission as a community specialist, opened Kettle Coffee, a small restaurant and coffee shop in 2015, and has been a communications manager for Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation for the past three years. Mandy was part of Leadership Mitchell County, part of the Beloit Comprehensive Planning Committee, and helped write the grant for the North Campus one-mile trail.  

She has been a resident of Beloit in Mitchell County since 2007 and lives with her husband B (local 6th grade teacher) and 12 year old son, Wakefield, and six year old daughter, Dayne.

Our Mission

To foster a spirit of partnership within Mitchell County to promote unique tourism activities.

Service Responsibilities

The Mitchell County Convention and Tourism Committee shall offer its services to county lodging facilities, restaurants, service stations, and tourist attractions, events, campgrounds, transportation systems and convention facilities. 

About Us

The MCCTC was established in 2003 by Resolution No. 33-03 to administer the Promotion Fund created by the transient guest tax in Mitchell County.  It is composed of ten members representing various locations in the county.  Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 12:00 noon at the County Courthouse.   Meetings are open to the public.  County residents may apply to join the committee with final approval made by the County Commissioners.
